美联社报导,川普昨天下令禁止7个穆斯林国家公民入境美国时,许多前往美国的班机已经起飞。
许多人今天在机场航厦焦急守候,等待获悉挚爱的人们能否获释,或被送上离境班机,25岁的贾里德(Yosre Ghaled)便是其中之一。
贾里德婆婆的姐妹是叶门公民,67岁的她因罹患心脏病和糖尿病,因此决定从沙乌地阿拉伯搭机前往美国与家人同住,却在下机後遭到拘留。

贾里德说,「我们非常难过,她过著非常恶劣的生活。我们试著让她安享晚年。」贾里德还说,家人获悉她将被拒绝入境,并将搭机返回沙乌地阿拉伯。
贾里德说:「我们等她等了好多年。他们应该让我们看看她。见到面会让人感觉好些。」
川普说,暂时实施入境限制是为了抵御潜在的恐怖分子。
数以百计抗议群众在机场示威,反覆高呼「让他们进来」,民主党国会议员纳德勒(Jerrold Nadler)和贝拉斯格斯(Nydia Velazquez)以及女星辛西亚尼克松(Cynthia Nixon)等名人,都加入示威行列。
